Muhammad Shafiq

Dr. Muhammad Shafiq is a member of the research team at OES participating on the ‘first global assessment on the current state of organizational excellence’ that has been endorsed by the OETC, GBN and ISO/TC 176. His qualifications include: Bachelor in Chemical Engineering, Masters in Quality Management and PhD in Quality Management from University of the York in the United Kingdom, Certifications (Six Sigma Black Belt, Project Manager, Process Improvement Manager in Lean Quality Management, Certified Lead Auditor of ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and HACCP).

He currently works at the Head Skill Development Centre and as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Quality and Technology Management at the University of the Punjab in Pakistan and as a consultant offering professional development at home and abroad. He has worked with multinational organizations such as Honda, Toyota, Pepsi, Nestle, ICI, Unilever and Telenor.

Author of two books in press (Implementation of Quality Control Tools by using MiniTab, Total Quality Management and National Culture), Dr. Shafiq has also published articles in a number of reputable journals. He currently serves as the Executive Member of the National Council for Quality and Technology in Pakistan and is a Member of Pakistan Engineering Council.
